Hehehe .. Thought this was cute ... and it is all true except for Sleepy .... but first you are sleepy and as soon as your head hits the pillow at 9:00 get all snuggled in .. pillow just right .. eyes closed .... Bang ... it's like you just had caffeine injected intravenously into your blood stream ...your eyes pop wide open and the the rest of the night is messed up. My poor hubby .. he is so patient when I start nattering at him at 2:00 in the morning... or he hears me turning on my Angry Birds game .. and the Forgetful part ... OMG .. forgot he was sleeping peacefully right beside me ......grrrrrrrr .... hope all this fun stuff goes away soon LOL

Hello ... I made this card this morning before work. I used the January set from The Stamps Of Life. Love the little note paper stamp. I also used a embossing folder from Stampin up .. and sanded it, roughed it up a little to give it a distrssed look.
See what a little -30 weather will do for your creative juices LOL ..

Outlines Challenge 35 - Love is in the Air

Good Evening .. Here is a card I made today for the Outlines Challenge 35 - Love is in the Air Monday Challenge. I used the Peace Dove stamp .. the dove carries a Star. Instead I did not ink the star and used a heart from the Growing Hearts Stamp and just stamped the hearts and cut the second one out as it was a bit smaller.
I colored with Laurentian markers, Spica Gold and clear pens for some glitter and added some small rhinestones. I used my spellbinders for the squares and the scalloped background.
I think this beautiful flying heart depicts LOVE is in the AIR perfectly. I love my Outlines stamps. This is the very first stamp company I was addicted to. Love the detail and the option of doing cards simply or getting as detailed and layered as you can imagine .. fun fun fun ......

Double Dutch Fold

I found this very cool fold on SCS this morning .. DOUBLE DUTCH FOLD. I always love to try new folds so gave this a go. I think it turned out really pretty. I made this card for my Mother In Law. She is not feeling very good these days and thought she could use some happy mail. I will give this to my husband to fill out and mail ..cuz as per my post further down .. I procrastinate!!!
I used a new set I purchased from Verve , called One Person. I also used quite a few Spellbinder dies on this . I also used a few pink half pearls to add a little bling.

I double stamped the inside of the lollipops with pink and purple to give them a bit more flavour .. and added some stickles. I used The largest die in the spellbinders labels 15 to make the card base. just a quick little card ...

I used my froggy2love November club member set from The Stamps of Life. To make the 3 I used my Cricut Cartridge Plantin Schoolbook.

Well I am a procrastinator extrordinaire .. I made this card for my Brother Brian's 45th Birthday .. his birthday was Jan 12th .. and looky here... I am taking a picture of it on January 15th ... he lives in Edmonton ... WHOOPS !!!!! I will mail it tomorrow for sure !! ... (yeah right LOL) He asked specifically for one of my 1000.00 cards ... hehehe

I made this with a very old set of Verve stamps called Polka Stars .. in fact it is a rubber set in a CD case ... now how old are those stamps Verve people .. the company was actually called Verve Visual back then .. but I still love this set.... and I part with nothing in my stamp room ... and procrastinator such as I am ... I hardly ever even part with a card ... it's a new year ..lets see if I can change this a bit :) The sentiment is from SU ..Short and Sweet.

2nd card for One Crazy Stamper

Good Morning Peeps.

This is the second card I made for my guest DT Member for One Crazy Stamper.
I used Heartfelt Creations Posy Bouquet Precut Set. You can find this set here at One Crazy Stamper. I love these stamps.. they are made of real red rubber, deeply etched and amazing quality. They are unmounted, but on cling foam. AMAZING images as well. So versatile.

I also used Spellbinders Ovals and Scalloped Ovals. (and they are 20% off right now at OCS) The DP is Momenta. The ink I used is momento Grape Jelly. I stamped the image 2 times and cut some of the little flowers out to pop them up a bit and give some dimension. I then added little half pearls to the centres. I also used a little corner punch from EK Success to soften the edges a little. VOILA'

Nov Guest DT Member for One Crazy Stamper

Good Morning,

Well like I said I am baaaaaaaaaaaaack !!! I am so excited to be a Guest DT member for November for ONE CRAZY STAMPER !! Here is the first card I made for them.

I made this card with Art Impressions "Out To Lunch" Love these old gals.. and the sentiment made me think of a lady at work on Weight Watchers LOL ... She to cannot pass up on a piece of cake .. so I found this quite funny .. I will give this card to her.

I colored with copics, used my clear spica pen to add a bit o sparkle and a bit of chalk on the ladies cheeks. The Spellbinders I used were Fancy Tags 3 and deckled rectangles for the main image. I added a little rhinestone for the earing and on the dress. I also paper pieced the table cloth to match the DP, which is from ECHO PARK called Country Drive. I also used some cardstock from Stampin up called Pear pizzazz and Pink Passion.

This was a fun little project and I hope you enjoy.

Good Morning ... I must apologise for being MIA the last couple months... It has been a crazy couple months. My first problem was a mouse ... LOL ... I had a couple mice in my card room and was a little freaked out .. so was not coming down here . My DEAR SWEET HUSBAND .. has finally cleared the problem up . We have not caught one in a few weeks now. We back on to an open space and a canal and the little devils decided to move in with us. EEEEwwwwwwwwwwwww. They are definatley not as cute as the ones you see on stamps.

BUT ... I am Baaaaaack !!!!! I missed my card room ... and I am so behind now so expect to see lots of stuff being turned out in the next little while.

My fisrt assignment is very very EXCITING !! I have been asked to be a Guest DT member for ONE CRAZY STAMPER for the month of November !!! How exciting is this
I will post my first card tomorrow .. so stay tuned !!!

CS344 and Stampalicious Rocks!!!

Ok .. I am so not a lucky person .. I never win stuff ... BUT .. lately this seems to have changed for me. Well especially over at Totally Stampalicious anyway LOL. I won the 4 new sets released back in May .. WOW ..was I shocked!! And now I played along with them for the July release and won a 5.00 Gift certificate .. Yeah me .. I will have no problem spending that at all .. Thank You Ladies at Totally Stampalicious!!!

So here is a little card I came up with .. I used one of the sets I won in May called Violet Scarlette
The DP is again Jillibean Soup, Dutch Mustard Soup , pink cs and a Martha Stewart punch for the edge. I colored her with copics and also used some nesties for the sentiment circle. The sketch is from SCS .. CS344

Good Morning .. Here is a little card I made using my Nestabilities. I used the largest scalloped square. I folded my cardstock in 2 and set the nestie just at the little dips befor running though the cuttlebug to give me a cute little square scalloped card. The stamps are from the amazing company Verve .. I used 2 sets .. Birthday Surprise and Leaves. They are having a big 4th Anniversary sale over there right now ... Check it out !!
The dp is from Jillibean Soup caled Dutch Mustard Soup ..and I used both sides. The cardstock is from SU More Mustard and Pear Pizzaz

Outlines Monday Challenge 7 RED HOT !!!!! One Crazy Stamper July Challenge

Good Morning !!! Hope all my Canadian friends had an awesome Canada Day long weekend and all my American friends had an equally awesome Happy July 4th long weekend!!! The weather here in Strathmore actually co operated this weekend and it was beautiful. I spent alot of time out in the yard trying to make it pretty and a little time n the card room making this little card.

I am entering it in 2 challenges .. Outlines Monday Challenge #7 RED HOT ... and One Crazy Stampers July challenge. A recipe .. 1 image, 2 pattern papers and 3 embellishments.. all stamps are Outlines ... the patterned paper is both sides of a sheet from Simple Stories called 100 Days of Summer. the 3 embellies are rhinestones, buttons and some red twine from Jillibean Soup....

Good Morning ... I made this card for the Totally Stampalicious color challenge .. Canadian Colors , Red and White. I used Cowgirl Dottie from Totally Stampalicious as well. I used her in honor of the Calgary Stampede which starts next week. I left her hat white as we have a tradition here to honor important guests to our city with a WHITE HAT CEREMONY , although I did sparkle it up a bit with some Star Dust Stickles ... What Cowgirl doesn't need a little glitter :)

I am in The Stamps of Life Club. This is part of the set from the June stamp set called kids2love. it is a relly cute set with both a boy and girl stick figure and even a little dog. I paper pieced her dress and added some little flowers at the bottom. You can find this set here . The dp is from simple stories. i made some little flowers from a MS flower punch and the corners are a SU punch. I added some rhinestones and some stickles as well.

This was a way fun card to make .... I used the Centre Step Card Technique off Splitcoast Stampers. The cs is SU Pear Pizzazz and Pretty in Pink. The stamp is from Stampingbella called Izzie with a cherry on top. Now the flower was so fun to make ... I cut out 5 scalloped circles .. misted them with water and scrunched them up .. pierced a hole through all the layers and added a brad to hold them together. then just shaped while they were wet to how I wanted them to look and let air dry. I then added a bit of stickles to the edges to give it a bit of sparkle. Give it a try .. very easy and so pretty....

Hope everyone is having an amazing start to their day !! Here are a couple masculine cards I made a couple weeks ago .. It was my Hubby's 52nd Birthday and this is what I came up with.. When I showed a lady at work she wanted one for her Hubby as well so I whipped up 2 ... I so rarely make a masculine card ...

I used a little stamp set from Bo Bunny called Timepiece. The blue card is made with SU Brocade Blue and the brown card is Archival Sepia .. I did a little distressing on both just to give it a little aged look... used some jute and a button .. and Voila !!!!

IC286 Live Laugh Love / Outlines Challenge 2

Good Morning ...
This morning I was popping around on SCS .. and decided to play the Saturday Inspiration Challenge 286 ... They went to a site called Plates and Napkins .. WOW .. what a lot of choices and inspiration on this site .. it took awhile to pick just one ... so I went with Black and White .. still one of my faves ... This is what I choose as inspiration .

I used a stamp from Outlines Rubber Stamp Company .. still one of my favorite stamp companies ... the stamp is called Izzy Background. Then I blinged it up a little with some rhinestones. The sentiment stamp is from Kaisercraft.

I am also entering this card in the Outlines Challenge 2 .. to use black and white.

I made this card just for a quick fun something to do .... I used my set for May from The Stamps Of Life called scream4icecream ... inside it says ... you .. need some ice cream !!! The paper is some old stash of Basic Grey .... called cupcake. I put a little bit o stickles on the chocolate ice cream to give it a bit of sparkle ...mmmmm Yummmmmmo !!!!

it was a faily simple card to put together .. the CS is actually a pale green but is not really showing up that way ??????

Today I made this card for 3 challenges.. SC333 and Black White and WOW over at Totally Stampalicious . .. and PDCC83 We were to use black and white and one other color for the Totally Stampalicious challenge and Black white and GREEN at The Play Date Cafe challenge PDCC88. I went with SU's Garden green for my WOW .... The Dp is from Creative Imaginations and I used a stamp from Bugaboo Stamps which can be purchased at Totally Stampalicious as well. I used a little bit of stickles on her hat and the tablecloth just to give her a bit of bling....

Good Day Friends.... Today is an exciting day as it is our first day with the new DT Team for DT Wednesday at SP and Company !!!

I have chosen to make a masculine card today ... I used a set called Mix'n Match Occasions from Sp and Company .. WOW !!! What a versatile set this is .. There are so many options in this one set. The car is from Viva Las Vegastamps.

I used SU Early Expresso cardstock and the dp is Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934. I also used my nesties to make the little circles to put my very cool screwdriver brads thru .. The Cuttlebug folder is Moroccan Screen .. I thought it matched the screwdriver heads pefectly ... :)

Well Friends ... Mothers day is over .. time to start thinking about Fathers day ... So today for the finale .. I chose the digi's from SP and Company .. Little Birdie #1 and Little Birdie #2 .. I also took one of the many Mustaches and the Top Hat from Hey Mister just to gussy up one of the birds.
I put a prima flower in her hair with a little rhinestone to make her pretty ... The sentiment is also from Hey Mister.

I was just playing around this morning ... cuz I am officially on holidays for a week ... love these work day mornings when I can come into my card room and play ..

I love this sentiment from Verve ... I used paper from Scenic Route and some Bazil cardstock and Very Vanilla from SU.

The little butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch .. which I added small pearls for the body and to bring it together I added 3 bigger pearls at the bottom.

My Next Challenge SPCC # 94 .. I made it !!!

Ok this is really going to be a challenge for me ........ because ... Hubby and me are moving to a hotel for a week to 10 days... WHY ?? Weellllll .. the Town folk here in all their wisdom...decided we needed to update our water meter in the house in Jan. The fellow who was changing it did not turn off the water and flooded our basement ... our fully developed basement.... then he was running buckets of water up the stairs and spilled it across my hardwood floors in the kitchen/eating area .. wood swelled up ... disaster ensued ... Well tomorrow is the day they come in to do all the repairs. Dogs are at the sitters and Dan and I are moving into a hotel while the work is being done (due to sanding the floors replacing the carpets in the basement fumes from refinishing the hardwood etc...

So I am taking a small amount of crafting supplies with me and hope to get this card done by next Sunday :) So let's see what limited supplies can create ..

Hope you all have an awesome evening ... I am off to finish packing .. Laptop is coming so I will still be in touch.

My thoughts for the day are ... It is time to pick it up a NOTCH (or 2) .. I have been blog hopping and looking at all the amazing work out there. WOW .. what awesome talent. My blog friend Alaine ... DT members together ... Both our first times for OUTLINES .. HAS ACTUALLY INSPIRED ME TO KICK IT UP A NOTCH.... She certainly has !!! Check out her blog ... I look back at my cards and I see nice cards .. simple cards.... sketch challenges... some color challenges ... but it is all starting to look the same to me ... I guess I have not yet found my niche .. Time to get to work .. mmm which way will I go ... take a coloring/blending class ??? Try a new technique ?? Use many new techniques ??? All I can say is the next card I post will hopefully knock your socks off .. LOL .. I am stepping out of my safe comfy little box !!!!!

This card was made for SPCC # 93 ... and PPC11 over at Scrapbookers Paradise to use buttons ...The colors to use were Su Mambo Melon, River Rock and Perfect Plum. This is what I came up with .. I used my new stamp set from SU called Sweet Summer for the main image and the sentiment is from Verve. I also used my new folder from SU called Square Lattice. The centre of the flowers have little colorful rhinestones. I love my rhinestones ... :) Hope you likey ...

Good Morning !! The other day I was cruising through blogs .. I found a blog .. and such a fun one .. The ladies name is Samantha Peyton. I was in her blog forever .. it is a fun one. She was also having a DT call .. so I thought I would throw my card in the ring. The element she had requested for a card .. was USE BLUE !! I used Blue Bayou and Chocolate Chip from Stampin Up .. on my card .. I used dp from Bo Bunny as well. my stamps are from Stampin up for the sentiment ... Vintage Vogue and the small Wavy Posy from Outlines... which I paper pieced. The centre of the posy is full of little rhinestones. If you click on the pic you will get a closer view. Sooooooooooooo what better way to start off again but with a Card and Chocolate Swap over on Paper Craft Planet. !!! It was lead by Christi Usher ... who by the way was my swap buddy...

This is the adorable card she sent .. Looks alot like me after her package arrived ..LOL She sent me tons of yummy chocolate ... take note of the Betty Crocker turtle bar.. there was actually 2 to start with ... mmmmm wonder where one went?? There was also a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup .. suspiciously missing as well from this pic ... I thought I had better get a pic soon before .....well .... back to the card... hehehe it was a blast and I thank Christi for her amazing package .... what fun .....

How CUTE is this boy !!! This little guy is staying with us right now. He is my 2 yr old Grandson ... Matteo .. They (him and his mom) have stopped here on their way to live in Edmonton where daddy has a new job.

He has been such a joy to have around but I have discovered that Grandma's loose their ability to see in 10 different directions with these little people ... WOW ... where did all my "mom" eyes go LOL ..

Anyway the BOY can do no wrong in his Grandma's eyes.. I will truly miss them when they move on to Edmonton .. good thing it is only a couple hours drive away .. being greeted with this face in the mornings and when I get home is PRICELESS!!

This is my take on the VLVFEB2011 Week 2 challenge. The pink and green one was made for my daughter. She is feeling a little down this weekend and I thought I would mail her a card and hopefully cheer her up a little bit.

The Burgundy/green and gold one is made for this challenge and also for the Scrapbookers Paradise color challenge. I actually used old Imaginisce papers for this one called Out on a Limb ..and that is what the prize is .. the new line called Animal Crackers.

Oh my this is such a pretty stamp .. it is from Outlines Rubber Stamp Co.. I have had it quite awhile and thought it deserved to see some ink this year .. I used versamark, silver EP. The lines are so lovely and crisp.

The I used a couple copics to color in certain spots and a few pearls .. Love the border... a Martha Stewart punch set ...

Sugar Beaded Butterfly

This card was made sometime ago at a card class I took with some dear friends. It is a very cool effect. We took a pretty napkin .. separated it to 1 ply .. then put a large piece of scor tape on top ... sprinkled the sugar beads on it and ...VOILA' IRL it is very shimmery and pretty ...with a great texture ... at that piont we completed the card. Hope you like it. If you click on the pic it will show you a larger version and you will be able to get a better view of the sugar beads.

I made this card because I saw a GORGEOUS card on SCS .. it was made by mom2n2 . I changed the DP of course but kept it pretty much the same except for the sewing .... Hers can be found here.

I used my new set from CTMH called ..Find Your Style. I used Colorbox ink and clear embossing powder for the butterfly. The paper is Little Yellow Bicycle Red Herringbone/Festive Floral (it is from my stash and is dated 2008 ...I think I hoard my paper just a little LOL) Any whoooooo hope you like my card :)

I have just bit the bullet and joined a stamp of the month club. The Stamps of Life by Stephanie Barnard. Her stamps are adorable and very reasonably priced. I will now receive a new set of stamps from Stephanie once a month. Check out her site to see all the perks that go with being a club member.
The very best part is ... I am in Canada .. I joined on Jan 18th and I received my Jan set yesterday...Jan 24 ... from the US ... so super duper fast shipping.... and only 1.50 shipping charges. WOW this is an awesome set up LOL.

I bought some of the gorgeous stamps from Heartfelt Creations in the summer .. this is the first card I have made with them.. I stamped a couple times and popped a few of the flowers up .. I used a q tip to color the flowers with Memento ink ...added pearls ... love the result. I was having a pink moment .. three cards that day were made with a 12 x 12 sheet of pink from Bazzill

I love the Sugar beads .. I purchased them a long time ago and finally used them.. I used double sided tape (peel and stick adhesive sheets) covered the image and sprinkled the sugarbeads over it .. a very cool effect. These 2 are made with Stampin Up's gorgeous Chistmas Collage stamps. The 1st one is made by using Versamark and Marcasite EP. Added a red ribbon, colored in the berries and added a pretty bow and Voila...the second is just stamped with CTMH Twiligt ink and sponged a little..Hope you like :)

This was made for a challenge at PCP called Make it Legal.. the card had to be legal size. I very rarely make a card that size... so was a good challenge for me.

I LOVE this Santa .. it is from Flourishes. I used the trellis punch from Martha Stewart , the dp is from Basic grey and the flourishes are cuttlebug dies. I also used a gold spica pen to outline his glasses and just colored the holly with a litle chalk.

This card is made with a Inkadinkado stamp. I used versamark and then Red Dragon EP. It is really quite sparkly IRL . The paper is all from CTMH. I used a CB folder and sanded it. I have a bag of these snowflkes from years ago.. I don't think I will ever get to the bottom of it.

I made this card for a challenge on a group I love being in called Anything But Cute on PCP.

It came in as runner up. I used 2 stamps from Hero Arts ... one is the lettering backround and the other is the main image. I stamped the main image twice and cut out one and sponged it and then placed it over the original stamped one. I am pleased with the end result. Hope you like it!!!

I made this card with the SCS300 sketch challenge. Although I cannot download to SCS as SCS says it is too big. I have had this problem for ages with SCS .. I have finally sent them a message to see what the problem is. It uploads fine everywhere else.

I love how it turned out .. I used a very shiny silver cardstock so it was a little hard to get a good pic...but with some enhancing ..I think this turned out pretty ok.

I made this for a challenge on PCp called Anything but cute, Anything Chocolate. We were to use brown and one other color. I chose Blue. It was another challenge I had for myself .. to use what I already have .. no more purchases .. (I am saving myself for shopping in Vegas at the end of the month) It is hard ... I made this card for my little grandson Matteo .. he is giving his Mommy some hissy fits these days ... How come now I think it is cute LOL ... he is so darn adorable and pretty much anything he does is cute to me. This Mo Manning stamp was bought for just this occasion .. he is 20 months old this month .. How I love that BOY !!! Hissy fits and all....
