Operation Update

They kept me in the hospital overnight :( I went to the surgeon and he seems to have a few more qualifications than myself ... huh .. he decided I needed to have a small surgery to clean up some scar tissue that was building up and around the wound. I must admit .. it feels a whole lot better. I go Wed to get the stitches out and then hopefully will soon be done with all this. Yeah but on to much better news .. see next couple of posts ... yeah !!!!

Operation #2 ....????

GRRRRRRRR ... I had an operation on June 4th ... was in the hospital for 16 days ... bed ridden for another 3 weeks after that and now ... tomorrow the surgeon wants to close up the wound. My homecare nurses (who have been coming daily to change the bandages) ..Bless them !!! say that my wound does not need stitching up as it is now pretty level (it was originally about 4.5 cm deep) but still I need to go in and get the surgeons opinion. I am praying the nurses are right.
Will be back tomorrow with the update (I hope) Cross your fingers !!!!!

Thanks to one of my Nurses

I made this for one of my homecare nurses. I have been on homecare since June 20. My nurses come over every day :) There are 6 ladies that share the duties. Everyone of them are amazing and I will miss them once my wound has healed. So I will be making them each a thank you card. This might be the first but not sure if I am fond of it. I will keep trying LOL.....

This was made for the SC239 challenge. I used the Inkadinkado Ornate Christmas Stamps. I used versamark and red dragon sparkley EP. The snowflakes were punched out with a Martha Stewart punch. Hope you like :)

I love this sketch. SC238 on Splitcoast. This was made with Pocket Silhouettes and Heard from the Heart stamps from SU. I also used a rub on on the corner for the first time.

Sketch challenge gone wrong

This was made for the Mojo Monday sketch 96 challenge .. but things went terribly wrong ...I measured very badly and the panels did not fit across ... so instead of trashing .. I adjusted and put one panel across. Also used my Pink Cat Studio stamps and stickled the ribbons and bows.

Card for SC237

Good Morning, This was made just for fun. I used the Sketch Challenge SC 237 from SCS. The little flower was stamped twice and is raised .. hard to tell here .. it is also stickled and is very glittery IRL.. I also used 3 different Cuttlebug folders for some aded texture. The gorgeous Dp is from Chatterboxinc called Together Ruby.

Another Christmas in July Card

This is my first card made with Pink Cat Studio stamps. I was at one of my favorite stores in Calgary and they had them on for half price !!! I bought 3 sets. I love love love a bargain !!! I also love Lilly and Tweet ... such cute images and fun to color. So this is my 3rd Christmas in July card .. think I will come back to summer images now :)

Outlines Christmas in July

When I first started making cards a few years back... a couple good friends of mine .... Karen and Kim were buying up the Outlines stamps and I loved the detailing involved so I started buying a few of them myself.
I made this ornament by stamping and embossing on 3 different colors of cardstock ... then I cut out each layer .. 8 to be exact and glued together. I like the look of it .. still :)

Thanks to the Gang at work

This was made for the gang at work, who after my operation sent me a beautiful bouquet, they know I love gerberas so it was full of them... so now .. one back to them :) I used the TAC Gerbera daisy stamp and Basic Grey DP ...with a few dew drops as an added touch.

My First MOJO Monday Challenge

This is my first Mojo Monday Challenge card MOJO94 , How exciting .. The card was made for my daughter Shannon , who is moving to Port Alberni BC on Vancouver Island. My oldest daughter moved there June 1st and broke my heart, and now my middle daughter is also moving there. With this ... it also means my Gorgeous 6 month old grandson Matteo is going. They do not understand why my heart is breaking ??? But they need my support and undertanding that they need to venture out and try something new. (Both their boyfriends are from there and the guys feel the need to move home for some reason)
So hopefully this will give them little comfort ... knowing on the outside I understand they need to spread their wings and try something new. .. but on the inside I am heartbroken (the card below is for my oldest daughter .. it has the same sentiment on the back.. the ketto card)
Ok enough said ... keep smiling Mom !!!!

Hubby's 50th

This is not a very good pic but I made this for my Hubby's 50th birthday this past June 15. I have been bedridden since June 4th and I am very late in uploading and updating my blog.
Since our favorite place to go is vegas and we were married in vgas on Dec 24th 2008, I thought this would be a good theme for his card this year.
When I was digging thru his poker chips he asked why I needed to take the ones that were worth the most ... I just told him "when it comes to cards in this house ...everything was game" LOL
He still actually gets them back .. right !!
